Welcome to Big Rock Campground

We feature amazing vistas, unique surroundings, friendly campground hosts, happy campers, and a welcoming atmosphere. All this and more nestled in an abundance of nature. Most sites offer plenty of elbow room and full hook-ups with 30 amp power in all RV sites and several with 50 amps as well.

The visual impact is perhaps our most outstanding feature. Many of our sites have vistas overlooking the valley below and the mountains beyond. Other sites provide an unobstructed view of the lake. Forests of towering pines are seen from all sites.

The campground is terraced on the side of a mountain with sites picked for their beauty and views rather than how many campers can be stuffed into the area. The name, Big Rock Campground, is an apt moniker since big rocks are present everywhere. We use them to border campsites, to terrace different levels, to conceal port-a-potties, and as aesthetic enhancements. And, when we say big rocks we mean big rocks. We have several as big or bigger than a Prius and countless sofa sized boulders incorporated into the structure and landscaping here.

We understand that a large part of the unique experience to be had at Big Rock Campground has to do with the visual impact. As such, we try to keep the grounds tidy and ask that campers only deploy their sewer hoses to drain their holding tanks, rather than leaving them hooked up and creating a visual disturbance.

Another aspect of the facility that ads to the camping experience is the abundant wildlife. Its not unusual to see deer up close, as well as sightings of Bald Eagles, Osprey, Humming Birds, and a myriad of other feathered friends. We have even had a pair of Stellar Jays perched outside our camper window on a couple of occasions. Chipmunks and squirrels are abundant and entertaining and there have even been sightings of beaver on the property. This is the primary reason we are a "no pet" park. The wildlife are comfortable here and that results in closer and more frequent encounters.
